The centenary celebrations of Finland’s independence are starting off. The Finland 100 – In Rainbow Colors project will compile at this site art and cultural events with a “rainbow stripe” held in different parts of Finland!
All operators in the field of arts and culture are welcome to join
We challenge you who operate in the field of arts and culture to realize a centenary year that embraces diversity with us! You can do this by including queer perspectives or topics relating to sexual and gender minorities in our programme under planning.
A project presented on our events pages can be, for example, a theme exhibition or material, events or guided tours connected to LGBTIQ history and included in a permanent exhibition, a rainbow shelf in a library, a play on the LGBTIQ theme or a public workshop based on LGBTIQ perspectives, a music programme aimed at rainbow families, an art workshop for young LGBTIQ people or a project produced collaboratively with a local Seta branch. The project has to also be connected to the themes of the Finland 100 programme: working together and the history of an independent Finland.
